Machel also serves as a research member of the Brandes Institute staff, a division of the firm that investigates potential opportunities arising from the influence of behavioral and structural factors on global investing. Before joining Brandes, she worked as an equity analyst with a prominent New Jersey-based investment counseling firm. Prior to that, Machel worked as an institutional investment consultant. She graduated cum laude, earning her BBA in finance/investments from Georgia State University (GSU). Machel earned her MBA from The Robinson School of Business at GSU. Mr. Kyle is an alumnus of Harvard University and the London School of Economics with over 20 years of investing experience. He started his career as a Financial Analyst at Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan/Chase) but quickly moved on to executive-level positions. Mr. Kyle has served as CEO of Triathlon Group North America, LLC – the parent company of the world’s largest triathlon publication, Triathlete Magazine – and was on the Board of Directors for several years. After divesting his interest in the magazine, he co-founded The Active Network, Inc. and served as CFO from 1998 to 2002. Today, Active has over 1500 employees worldwide. Aside from managing his fund, Mr. Kyle is a two time world and nine time national champion in sailing, an Ironman triathlon finisher and a 3rd degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo. He lives with his family in La Jolla, California, has served as a Board of Director on over ten companies and non-profit organizations, and is an avid art collector. |
